Rich Rachner, Principal, is a proven leader with extensive global experience. He is highly skilled at collaborating with top management to create the vision, strategy, goals and specific action plans, and is equally effective implementing approved action plans at all organizational levels.
Rich began his career with General Motors in manufacturing, engineering, human resources, international operations, worldwide purchasing, supplier development, and continuous improvement. Work assignments included Corporate Headquarters, Cadillac Division, Adam Opel (Germany), GM Europe, and North American Operations. As Executive Director of Throughput Optimization, he was instrumental in applying Theory of Constraints and Lean principles to improve the performance of internal and supplier operations, vehicle distribution, and the product development process. As Executive Director of International Human Resources his expertise focused on management and employee development and transferring knowledge and expertise throughout the organization. Subsequent to GM and before joining Fulcrum Edge, Rich founded his own company, Rachner & Associates, specializing in leadership development and operational performance improvement to quickly generate bottom-line results in a variety of industries.
Rich has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from General Motors Institute (Kettering University) and an MBA from the University of Detroit. He is a corporate advisor to International Tooling Solutions and a certified "Jonah" by Eli Goldratt, author of the world famous business novel, The Goal.
