Peter Stember, Principal, Int'l Business, specializes in securing import/export contracts from government-approved brokers, private entitites, and banks. He has more than ten years' experience in bulk import and export of natural resources, agricultural commodities, and technology between Central America, Europe, and India, as well as brokering healthcare and medical equipment around the world. He has particular business and government expertise in Central and South America.
Peter is a serial entrepreneur and is currently involved in a Costa Rican-based regional water bottling and distribution concession and has extensive experience in rock quarry operations, selling aggregates to large international marine contractors such as The Netherlands-based Van Oord and BAM International. Prior to his work with Fulcrum Edge, he managed localization, purchasing, quality control, and export for timber concessions in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. He began his career with Sungard Availability Services, a specialized IT partner with Cisco Systems. While there, he implemented the Sarbanes-Oxley Act for Sungard's advisory services and banking business, as well as managing teams in the US, Egypt, and India
He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Political Science from San Francisco State University. He is currently involved in the development of the distant learning program with the State University of New York/Albany, Hudson Valley Community College (New York), and the Costa Rican government. Peter also meets quarterly with the Ambassador and Minister of Commerce for China in Costa Rica on project strategies. Peter speaks English and Spanish fluently.
